Child Advocacy/Juvenile Dependency

Walton Lantaff has attorneys who are experienced and skilled child advocates. Walton Lantaff lawyers have been frequently appointed to represent the interests of minor children involved in litigation as volunteer (pro bono) attorneys. This has included acting as independent child advocates in custody disputes, contentious divorces, paternity suits and proceedings involving allegations of neglect, abandonment, and physical and/or sexual abuse.

Walton Lantaff lawyers are also experienced guardians ad litem for minor children, helping the courts determine what is in the best interests of children too young to express and advocate for their interests. Some Walton Lantaff lawyers are experienced independent counsel to children when they reach the teenage year and advocate for the older child’s “expressed interests.”
